Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills (IOLS) @ El Protero

INTRODUCTION to OUTDOOR LEADER SKILLS (IOLS) provides the opportunity for registered adults to learn the basic outdoor Scout skills required to be a leader in a Boy Scout troop or Varsity team.

Outdoor skills are critical to the success of the Scouting program, and Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills will provide leaders with the basic outdoor skills information needed to start a program right. The skills taught are based on the outdoor skills found in The Boy Scout Handbook. The course is also ideal for Boy Scout and Varsity adult leaders because it focuses on skills that build confidence and competence in leaders conducting outdoor camping experiences.

To receive credit for participation and completion of the course you must be present for the whole session.

Any registered adult 18 years + may register for courses in any district and/or council.

To receive credit for participation and completion of the course you must be present for all of the course sessions.

This course is being conducted by the OCBSA Rancho del Mar District Boy Scout Training Team. A registered adult in any district and any council is encouraged to attend.
