9 – 11 AM, Saturday November 9, 2013
Over seventy Eagle Scouts of all ages and their guests attended the Orange County Council, BSA Eagle Scout alumni fellowship event at the Crevier Classic Car Museum in Costa Mesa on Saturday November 9, 2013 from 9 AM to 11 AM.
This fun, informal, drop-by event was hosted by the OCBSA National Eagle Scout Association (NESA) for the purpose of perpetuating the fraternity of Eagle Scouts in Orange County through social gatherings and networking. A continental breakfast was served followed by a guided tour of the amazing Crevier collection with some of the most incredible classic cars we’ve ever seen.
This NESA Eagle’s Nest event was also a fun way to meet and mix with other Eagle Scouts, do a little networking and talk about the unique journeys of life discovered in each Eagle Scout we encounter. Additionally, this event provided attendees an opportunity to learn more about the OCBSA N.E.S.A. chapter and other fun events being planned in the future.
Since November 9th was also Scouting for Food Good-Turn Day across Orange County, we invited all Eagle Scouts and their guests to bring a bag of non-perishable food with them to benefit the Second Harvest Food Bank. Several hundred pounds of food were donated at the event helping the council collect more than 70,000 pounds of food in total.
