NESA Youth Officers 2014

OC Council 2014 NESA Chapter Youth Officers

Currently registered Eagle Scouts are encouraged to serve as Orange County Council NESA Chapter Youth Officers. Youth officers are active, voting members of the NESA committee, providing leadership and service to strategic initiatives including the annual Eagle Scout Recognition Dinner, Eagle Scout alumni gatherings, Scout-0-Rama booth judging, and NESA membership development.

Youth officer positions include President, Vice President and eleven District Representatives. Youth officers are expected to attend the monthly NESA chapter meetings and District Representatives are also expected to attend monthly district roundtables to help share our program and objectives with unit representatives.

NESABenSanchez Ben Sanchez, NESA Youth President-Ben is 17 years old and is a member of Troop 804 in the Canyons District.  He is an executive board member Wiatava Lodge OA and of the Koshare Chapter OA, youth rep. for the Catholic Committee on Scouting and was selected to be part of the prestigious “Report to the Nation 2012” delegation in Washington DC this year. Ben also served as the NESA Youth Regional Rep. in 2013.
NESAJohnTanner John Tanner, NESA Youth Vice-President-John is 15 years old and is a member of Troop 1273, Crew 2020 and Ship 2020 in the Saddleback District.  He is black belt in Tae Kwon Do, Model United Nations Delegate, GRIP Club Founder, member of the Council Honor Guard, member of the Oso Lake Campmaster  Corps, Venturing Leadership Skills Training Team member, Dist. Cub Day Camp Staffer and earned the World Conservation award.
NESACameron Owens Cameron Owens, NESA Youth Regional Representative-Cameron is 14 years old and is a member of Troop 842 in the Canyons District.  He regular public speaker in his church and school, actively involved in his school’s student council, serves as the Troop’s Senior Patrol Leader, is on his HS’s wrestling team and was selected as the 2012 NESA Adams Eagle Scout Project of the Year Award winner (Constructing over 300 wheelchairs for third world countries), receiving his medal at the 2013 Eagle Banquet.
