Support Scouting

Local council endowment ensures that Scouting will continue building character , fitness, and citizenship for years to come. Every Boy Scout Council across the United States host an annual “Friends of Scouting” campaign to raise the needed funds to bring the Scouting experience to kids that might not have the opportunity to join a “traditional” pack or troop.

 Learning for Life programs improve social and life skills, assist in character and career development and aid youth in the formulation of positive personal values. Youth become better prepared to make ethical decisions and achieve their full potential.

As part of Learning for Life's career education program for young men and women who are 14-20 years old, Exploring is a worksite-based program.

Scoutreach is a program that represents a commitment by the Boy Scouts of America to making sure that all young people have an opportunity to join Scouting, regardless of their circumstances, neighborhood or ethnic background.

The Boy Scouts of America launched the Soccer and Scouting program as an outreach to Hispanic youth and families in 2004. Soccer and Scouting teaches soccer skills, providing the excitement of competition, and at the same time learn the life-long values taught in the Scouting program.
