Scout Activities

Den Meetings:

Your son will meet with a small group of boys in his grade. He will make new friends and do new activities with boys his own age. The activities are focused on learning new skills, completing craft projects, doing community service and more. Some Dens meet once a month, others meet more frequently. The Dens are:

Tigers (first grade)

Wolves (second grade)

Bears (third grade)

Webelos 1 (fourth grade)

Webelos 2 (fifth grade)

Pack Meetings:

This is a monthly meeting for all the Dens (Cub Scouts and their parents) to get together to recognize the Scouts for their achievements that month. Awards, skits, games and jokes are some of the activities during a Pack meeting.

Blue & Gold Banquet:

This is a large Pack meeting/banquet in February where families come together to celebrate the birthday of the Cub Scout program and celebrate the graduation of our Webelos 2 Den into Boy Scouts.

Camping
Camping programs are packed with theme-oriented action that brings Cub Scouts into the world of imagination. Cub Scouts enjoy age-appropriate camping in our local Council camps, national, state, county or city parks. Camping programs combine fun and excitement with doing one’s best, getting along with others and developing an appreciation for ecology and the world of the outdoors. Day Camp is offered in neighborhoods across the county. Resident Camp is at least a three-day experience in which Cub Scouts camp within a developed theme of adventure and excitement.

Cub Scout Sports and Academics
The Cub Scout Sports and Academics program provides the opportunity for boys to learn new techniques, develop sportsmanship, increase scholarship skills, and have fun. Participation in the program allows boys to be recognized for physical fitness and talent-building activities.
