Celebrating 100 years—the countdown to Orange County Council’s centennial anniversary continues

2020 will mark the 100th anniversary of the Orange County Council, Boy Scouts of America, celebrating a century of Good Turns, developing young people into productive and responsible members of society along with providing life-skills and leadership training.

You can join in the year-long celebration which will kick off with the annual dinner on January 25th and culminate with the MERIT Gala on September 26th.  In between will be a special Eagle dinner celebration, an expanded Scout O Rama, commemorative hikes, a historical display at the Old County Courthouse, a keepsake history book and of course a special patch—designed by the world renowned artist Wyland!

Make plans to take part in any or all of the activities and celebrations including sharing your own story for the “100 Stories for 100 Years” highlight section in the special historical commemorative book being published.  Your unit may also want to schedule and share its own special celebrations as Scouting celebrates an amazing history in Orange County, and more importantly, a bright future of providing life-skills education, character development and training to become future leaders.
